LORI THOMAS

Lori is not only a former triple crown New York State titleholder, a national titleholder, and a top 10 finalist on the international level, she is also the proud founder of this Long Island Pageant system. While wearing her first New York crown, Lori’s advocacy for the prevention of domestic violence brought her in contact with former New York Yankee manager, Joe Torre, and his Safe at Home Foundation, where she became Joe’s VIP speaker hosting educational assemblies in schools throughout the New York Metro area. Lori was also invited to speak on the Senate floor, where her influence impacted the passing of an entirely new domestic violence legislation package that enhanced protection for victims and deterrents for perpetrators. Recognizing the amplified voice the crown provided Lori sparked her idea to create this Long Island Pageant system with a mission to provide young women on Long Island the opportunity to give back to this community the same way she has across the nation. Lori is so proud to take a seat at today’s judging table, nearly 20 years after founding this Long Island Pageant system. She sends her sincere congratulations to all the former, current, and future delegates, and the families who support their journey. Keep dreaming big!
